Code of Conduct

To provide the highest quality of academic and social
support to Chinese international students studying in Canada

Introduction

In pursuit of our institution’s mission, Easy Education’s instructors are selected through rigorous processes to provide students with quality service. Specializing in postsecondary academic support, our instructors undergo rigid training to ensure our organization upholds the highest standards in the industry.


Purpose

The purpose of the code of conduct is to ensure that staff and students alike adhere to the academic and professional standards set out by Easy Education. This document is designed to guide Easy Education’s pursuit of providing students with quality academic support is done with honesty and integrity and is recognized and adhered to by all of our instructors and students alike.

All Easy Education students and instructors must:

  • Act with honesty and integrity
  • Treat one another with dignity and respect
  • Respect differences in people, their ideas and opinions
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and productive learning environment


For Instructors

Easy Education expects its instructors to showcase leadership by demonstrating their commitment to academic excellence and a respectful teaching and learning environment and holding students accountable for their behaviour and actions.

Academic Integrity

The ultimate purpose of Easy Education’s services is to enhance students’ learning. Instructors shall hold themselves to the highest standards of academic integrity, and not engage in any activities that constitute academic misconduct. An Instructor may not suggest or promote any actions that constitute plagiarism, cheating, dishonesty, or any other behaviour that is in violation of the rules and regulations.

An Instructor may not provide specific solutions or part of solutions to any evaluations which the student is expected to complete independently. If an instructor is asked by a student to provide assistance that is inappropriate, the instructor shall refuse unconditionally, and clearly and explicitly communicate to the student the consequences of misconduct.

Interaction with Students

Our Instructors are expected to exhibit the highest standard of respectful and responsible behaviour as role models to Easy Education students. To uphold these high standards, Easy Education expects instructors to encourage students to fulfil their academic potential, communicate clearly and meaningfully, and demonstrate respect for all. Instructors shall be compassionate, patient, supportive towards students, be prompt and thorough in responding to student’s questions. Instructors are expected to set a positive example by treating teaching and academic work with enthusiasm, integrity, and positivity. Should an instructor discover reasonable evidence of academic misconduct by Easy Education students, the instructor has a duty to report an incident to Easy Education’s Board of Directors to investigate.

Professionalism

Instructors are prohibited from soliciting Easy Education students to other academic services offered by the instructor, or any third party services except those offered by Easy Education, as these are not managed and controlled by Easy Group.

Intellectual Property

All Easy Group instructors are expected to respect the intellectual property of others and to ensure their teaching materials are either: a) their own intellectual property; b) the intellectual property of Easy Education; or c) have express permission from the owner.

Confidentiality

All teaching materials, course content, student information and other related data that comes into the possession or access of instructor shall not be distributed to any third party. Unless required by law or with explicit consent, Instructors shall not discuss or disclose private information of the student obtained in teaching purposes including but not limited to contact information, performance, academic standing, or mental health.

Violation

Instructors of Easy Education are expected to obey this Code of Conduct. Violation of this Code may result in immediate termination at the discretion of the Board of Directors, and ultimately, the CEO.


For Students

In order to reinforce the highest standards of academic integrity and ensuring that students develop critical thinking skills and diverse perspectives in their studies, Easy Education expects students to uphold the policies within the Code.

External Expectations

All student-clients at Easy Education are first and foremost subject to the codes of conduct and ethics codes of their postsecondary institution. Easy Education will uphold these codes of conduct and provide additional support at the request of the institution.

Academic Integrity

Students shall hold themselves to the highest standards of academic integrity, and not engage in any activities that constitute academic misconduct. Students are expected to know what constitutes academic integrity in order to avoid misconduct and are expected to take responsibility for their actions. Students must not suggest or promote any actions that constitute plagiarism, cheating, dishonesty, or any other behaviour that is in violation of the rules and regulations, including soliciting specific solutions or part of solutions to any evaluations from Easy Education instructors.

Intellectual Property

Students are prohibited from providing Easy Education instructors with access to course materials that constitute the intellectual property of the course instructor. Students should be aware that their postsecondary courses contain the intellectual property of their instructor, associated teaching staff or assistants, and/or the institution. Intellectual property may include online course readings and notes, lecture content, presentations, and assignments (including tests and exams). If students wish to share course materials with Easy Education, they must receive express consent from the course instructor, including past courses.

Violation

All Easy Education students are expected to obey this Code of Conduct. Violation of this Code may result in the immediate termination of services at the discretion of the Board of Directors, and ultimately, the CEO.
